On 19 May, EFIEES President Pascal Guillaume participated in the High-Level Stakeholder Dialogue on Energy Efficiency, hosted by Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen.
This important event offered an opportunity to underline the value of Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) as a strategic tool to deliver energy efficiency measures with guaranteed results over time.
Pascal also emphasised the importance of public support schemes to help cover upfront investment costs and reduce the risk for project developers. During exchanges with fellow stakeholders, it was stressed that public funding rules should better facilitate third-party financing, which plays a crucial role in making energy efficiency investments viable.
Last but not least, Pascal welcomed the recognition of waste heat as a resource for energy efficiency and competitiveness.
