EFIEES held its members’ meeting in Bratislava, Slovakia, on 20 May.

The first item on the agenda was EFIEES’ General Assembly, carried on by our Secretary General, Valérie Plainemaison, and President, Pascal Guillaume.

Our Communications intern, Jael de la Morena, presented the communication updates, including EFIEES’ outreach tools, such as the Best practices brochure, and our participation in different events.

Our Head of Policy, Eline Blanchard, delivered an overview of the latest policy developments and focused on regulatory files currently under discussion at EU level. She also shared encouraging progress on the EU-funded OpenBEP4EU project.

The morning session closed with a roundtable discussion, where our members shared insights from their countries on financing, energy efficiency and decarbonisation.

In the afternoon, we welcomed Marcel Lauko, Chairman of APES (Asociácia poskytovateľov energetických služieb), and Martin Pitorak, Director of Fuels and Energy from the Slovak Ministry of Economics, as guest speakers to discuss the implementation of the Fit For 55 package.
